Base Zadar

44.1142° N, 15.2278° E

The city of Zadar is situated at 44.1142° North latitude and 15.2278° East longitude. It was built in a very favourable geographical location, in the very centre of the eastern Adriatic coast, protected from the open sea by an archipelago of islands, which proved to be of immense importance in the times when sea traffic was still dominant. The vicinity of the Kornati National Park, Telašćica Bay, and a number of other breathtaking islands (Ugljan, Pašman, Dugi otok) makes Zadar a perfect starting point for nautical adventures headed in all directions.

Zadar is the proud holder of the „best Croatian town to live in“ title and is continually en- riching its tourist offer. Examples include the famous Sun Salutation Light Show and the Sea Organ. In addition to this, Zadar is a destination which can be reached easily by road, sea or air. It boasts good traffic infrastructure , which connects it directly to other major Croatian cities – Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik, as well as excellent capacity and state-of-the-art service offered by its numerous marinas. An international ferry route connects Zadar to the Italian city of Ancona. Zadar International Airport is located in Zemunik, 10 kilometres east of the city.
